About Tara
I first realized my love of accounting in high school where I took the classes independently, as there were not enough students for a full class. I took Accounting I & II both from workbooks and journals, which were done by hand since no software was available to us at that time. I went to Ozarks Technical College in Springfield, Missouri, where I completed my Associates Degree in Accounting and several QuickBooks classes. My husband started his own business in 2003, and I started doing his bookkeeping then and have been for the last 15 years. I worked in a small bookkeeping/tax office for six years where I completed monthly bookkeeping and small tax returns and loved interacting with our clients. I also worked in Missouri school districts where I completed bookkeeping tasks that included monthly bill pay, reconciliation of accounts, and expense reports. I am currently working towards a bookkeeping online certificate from Bookkeeper Business Launch and my certification in QuickBooks Online.
